Trails
Trails: Moat Mountain Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Friday, January 8, 2016
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Easy to get into the parking lot. I had no problem parking, but not all the spaces were plowed out.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction, Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Easy crossing over bridge. Besides that, minimal water crossing. So shallow and narrow you could step over or on a rock.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail was clear of blowdowns, well packed and easy to follow. There was some ice on sections, however, nothing microspikes couldn't handle and I could have simply walked around most of them.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: At the peak I saw that even a tiny lap dog had been able to make the trip up.
