Comments
Comments: This was a simple 'out and back' hike using the Chippewa Trail. The snow depth was too little for snowshoes, and so Microspikes were the footwear of choice. However, even with Microspikes, traction was poor in certain spots where there was a thin glaze of ice atop rock slabs. This ice glazing was often hidden by a thin layer of snow.
