Comments
Comments: Zealand Road is pretty well packed down so no problem barebooting. Once I arrived at the trailhead proper I was a little surprised to find only bare boot tracks - apparently snowshoes have not been used here in a while if at all. The trail was choppy and powdery in spots so for traction - and for the common good - I opted for snowshoes. Like many things in life I left the trail in better shape than I found it. The trail still could use a couple more snowshoe treks to widen it in a few areas.

Outside of two folks carrying sleds coming down as I was ascending I didn't see anyone else on these trails. Outstanding views from both peaks for little effort made this a fine way to spend a morning.
