Comments
Comments: Nancy pond trail was well packed out and firm, so I started in Micro spikes, which I wore to Norcross Pond. I crossed the pond and switched to snowshoes for the bushwhack. I bushwhacked up onto the east ridge of Anderson and then followed it west to the high point. There was some tough match-stick forest, but overall, this was really good route to Anderson. Heading down to the Lowell col, I had to work down some very steep stuff, with some thick woods too. Going up Lowell, was thick in places, but not bad overall. Amazing off-trail views from near both of these summits. I followed my tracks back to the pond, reclimbing Anderson. Having made good time, I chose to bushwhack Duck Pond Mountain from near Nancy pond. It was not bad, a little thick, but very short. I followed my tracks out and left snowshoes on until the car, as things had softened a bit. I thought this was a good route. If one wanted to follow any of my tracks, they would be able too.
