Comments
Comments: This route has some of the best snow conditions in the area right now, including good snow on trees, especially in the col between the two peaks -- making if feel truly like winter in spite of the low snow totals to date. Some of the higher peaks further east have had the snow blasted off the trees, so it's just not quite the same.

Trail is broken/packed and in good shape all the way to Mt. Waumbek and the viewpoint; past that, it's unbroken. Snowshoes stayed on the pack all day; light traction was all that was needed.
