| Comments: |
hancock notch trail and cedar brook trails were packed hard with a light coating of sticky snow on top. less packed heading up to the notch, but still able to stay on top. some ice underneath, but the new snow adhered well. we bushwhacked in from the height of land and wilderness boundary finding scrappy woods and aiming to hit the summit ridge south of the summit to avoid cliffs below the highpoint. our line was actually quite good and we were soon up on the ridge where the snow was well consolidated and the woods opened quite a bit up to the recognized highpoint. we returned via the same route. |
