Today was the best snowshoeing that I have had this winter. There was probably 3 inches of fresh powder on the road when I started, almost 6 when I returned. It snow all day especially hard after 1pm. There was probably 6-10 inches on the last few switch backs and 8 plus on the trail leading up to treeline. Just before breaking into the open there was some whooper drifts! Scratchy over to the summit cone. Bigger cairns and the new sign really help on low visibility days light today. |
