Comments
Comments: Wow, what a day! We started at 11am hiking up the Webster-Jackson trail as snow fell. The beginning temperature was 11 degrees. As we got close to Jackson's summit, the snow got close to a foot deep in some places and we needed our Hillsounds to scramble up the icy ledges to the summit, where we experienced some fierce winds that quickly froze our fingers. The Webster Cliff Trail to Webster was gorgeous, as we trounced through foot-high snow drifts and marveled at the snow-crusted ferns and birches. The summit of Webster was a little tamer and the 3pm light sparkled, even if views were sparing. We were cold on the decent, but content about a great hike.
