Did the clockwise loop. Wore snowshoes on ascent to East Ledges,then switched to spikes. Thanks to the helpful person who related the flatter section just below Allen's Ledge were icy and that spikes were better there. Warm and sunny on the east ledges. We broke the trail on the east loop with about 4-5 inches of recent new snow. Mashed potato consistency in afternoon. Sure hope the next weather system brings snow not just rain. |
