| Water Crossing Notes: |
At the dam, we walked on the ice then on the cement.
Lots of water in the stream - we walked up stream a few hundred feet and were able to cross on ice bumps using snowshoes. |

Finding the trail was a challenge in places, especially with blowdowns. However, we managed to stick to it pretty well. |

| Comments: |
Good day for birds. Bald eagle on pond on the drive in, boreal chickadees, black-cap chickadees, red crossbill, pine grosbeak, red-breasted nuthatch, & ravens.
Lots of moose evidence - tracks in the trail and at least 12-15 places where the moose had bedded down in the trail. |
