it's still winter up north; 3-6 inches of loose snow under a crusty top made snowshoes easier today...snow cover also hides ice on rocks and ledges, even on what some would consider easy trails...approaching Square Ledge switched to pro trail crampons and still needed to be cautious..a good morning to readjust to wind chill and snowshoes!! |
