Comments
Comments: On the way up to Maine on Saturday, I stopped in Pinkham Notch and did the short half-mile trek up to Square Ledge, which I had never been to. What a great perch! Great views of Mt. Washington and especially into the heart of Huntington Ravine. I met and chatted with a couple of rock climbers there as well.

All trails were pretty much ice, except for the steep scramble up the side of the ledge and the ledge itself, which are in the sun. A group went in shortly before me, but didn't get far as they didn't have any traction. About halfway up the SLT where the overhang is, there's very thick, solid ice that can be maneuvered around.

On the way down I took the short side trip to Lady's Lookout, but it wasn't too impressive, as it's growing in.
