Comments: Greetings from Clough to Ozzy and Zach Porter - the last to sign in Feb 12. I climbed the So. West ridge of Clough. Walk roughly a mile up Long Pond Rd, walk the fall line from where you leave the road to the summit. Of the 'whack part if all bushwhacking was as easy as the lower third there would be a lot more people doing it. Soon after you leave the easy walking in the hardwoods you may come to a small but lovely wetland. Look for a herd path exiting the lower end of the wetland headed East. That will take you around some thick stuff and a couple ledge bands. Above the ledge bands you will start to find blow down patches. Skirt all of these on the West side where, again, you will find herd paths. The highest and largest of these is less than 100 yds from the summit and provides nice seating and pleasant views.

It does not feel correct to call this a Winter hike. 60 degrees, bare ground. To make it more correct I carried my snowshoes. Foolishness, I should have known better. Still, it's only mid March.
