Dog-Related Notes: There was a hard rain Thurday during the night and there was plenty of water for drinking all along the trails. Lauky had no problem on any of the rocks or ledges. I was glad I had him on a leash so I could be sure he wouldn't blow off the top.

Comments
Comments: The wind was very strong on the summits -- near gale force. It dropped off surprisingly fast as you descended from the summit. The wind on the windy side of Adams at the same altitude as Madison was nowhere near as strong as it was on the top of Madison. Layering was the order of the day. A wind jacket and fleece ideal on the top of Adams and Madison. Shirtsleeves or T shirt ideal below the tree line.
