Comments
Comments: The Attitash Trail leading past Diana's bath was mostly dry with some small sections of standing water. There were a few sections of black ice on the bottom of the Red Ridge Trail, but passable. The exposed ledges were mostly dry. Encountered sections of ice on the Moat Mountain Trail leading up to the summit of North Moat. Two guys navigated the ice with microspikes, but I chose crampons. Windy at the top with great views of the Presidentials. Attempted to make it a loop, but the north side of the Moat Mountain Trail had very thick blue ice leading down the steeps. I chose to turn back and head down the way I came. A party of three ascended the north side of the trail and reported significant ice. Great day to be out in the White Mountains.
