| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Ravine Road is gated. There is evidence of vehicle traffic to the lodge. Its melted the entire length but there were soft spots in the AM that means that the frost isn't entirely out. |

| Comments: |
Nice loop on a beautiful day, although the warm weather haze/smog is back so the views to the west were obscured. The carriage road is continuously muddy, rock hopping is the best technique. Gorge Brook has significant ice, it was warm enough overnight that it was fairly soft so microspikes worked well. Snapper had a few long stretches of ice enough that we put our traction back on.
I think many folks underestimated the ice and ended up turning around due to lack of traction.
Very few people up on the summit for such a nice day. We had it to ourselves for 20 minutes. |
