Comments
Comments: Trail was in great shape and closest I've come to barebooting this season. The small amount of ice was easy to avoid or rock hop Put on the Hillsounds at about 3900 for the last steep pitch before the Carriage Rd/South Peak intersection. This section was being done without traction but those doing it were clinging to vegetation and in one case was parallel to the ground holding the vegetation on the descent (he was ok). Once you reach the Carriage Rd you can keep them on for a bit or remove them as its easy to avoid what is there. Worth the extra weight to me but most today did not have traction. Clear and windy on top. Nice hike.
