See link below for New England Ski History info and map of ski trail.
One minor icy area near summit on the hiking trail - there is a bypass there. Terrific views this morning!
From the summit ledges - NICE new clearing off the west side - thanks!!!! - I followed some herd paths around the ledges to the right. There is some old flagging in there - according to the ski map, I am fairly convinced that that was the route of the old CCC ski trail which I soon lost in a flatter area several hundred feet off the summit. If cleared of some of the growth, this would be a very fun ski trail!!!!
Anyway, for the descent I went back to the summit and followed the snow machine trail entirely back to the junction near the old farmhouse cellar hole. At times the snow machine trail must have almost coincided with the ski trail as it was in the same location on the old map. There are many skidder paths that do intersect as well as a very old wide farm lane which has several breaks in the significant stone walls which also may have been modified for the ski trail - just a lot of neat woods to explore.
