| Comments: |
The trails are in good shape. I am shocked with the amount of snow above 3500' level. There is 3-8" of wet, heavy melting snow that is becoming patchy. The Gorge Brook trail was well-drained and in good shape. It was slushy snow the whole way up. Along the Carriage road to South Peak there is water that is ponding. Most of the rest of the Carriage road was bare, dry ground in direct sun. It felt like August. Snapper was wet with melting snow, but nothing nuts. In my opinion, light traction is largely optional at this point.
