| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Elwell Trail could use some brushing in low areas in cols between peaks -- hardwood saplings are encroaching on the corridor. |

Yes -- they are here. Black flies, in particular, were out in force in the parking area, on the summits, and in open ledge areas. |

As a test on the black flies, tried some newly purchased Sawyer Broad Spectrum Composite Spray, and, lo and behold, it worked -- black flies weren't an issue from that point on. (Wish I had known about this stuff a few years earlier.) |
