Very well blazed trail, no blowdowns, well maintained. Interesting color schemes of non-trail blazes on either side of the trail. No idea what the purpose of each color is though. |

Limited views on Sat as we got higher but this trail does have some nice outcrops that on a clear day would be awesome. Lots of mud but nothing unavoidable and was expected after this past week's rain. Slabs were slippery so we took our time, be careful! Found some ice patches but no traction is needed. Once at the south summit we picked up the AT again for a few feet before the North Peak spur trail intersection. Plenty of freshly painted blue blazes...orange for the north spur. |
