| Bugs: |
black flies quite annoying, especially below the spruce. Not biting, but they attacked my face and eyes, and I hate that. Wore wrap-around sunglasses and a brim hat, which helped. |

| Comments: |
several ice patches up high, only one provides any difficulty, and not much. many of the rock slabs were wet, but not really slippery. basically, the hike was fine except for the flies. They are early this year. Hope they finish early as well. |
