Comments
Comments: We lucked out hand had a perfect weather day! Trails were in great shape completely dry for the most part. No ice or issues near the top. Great views! I would recommend the route we took (starting right onto the Italian trail marked with Green/Red blazes) just be careful not to miss it, the trail forks right pretty near the parking lot but it's clearly marked green red. Going up Big Ball first then Tate then Shaw was ideal. The Shaw trail is really easy and gradual so doing it last was a nice ending to the hike as it follows fields brook. Overall we showed up at 10:30am and left around 4:30 and went really slow. Great hike for beginners who want views but don't want to deal with early season ice but still want to hike most of the day. I'd also recommend either Shaw trail summit or Big Ball mt summit for a quick hike for lunch views.
