Construction of a "Mountain Roller" track meant avoiding the lower part of the access road. I went up near the non-working conveyor belt that gets you to the top of training area for the zip line. Should every peak have a conveyor belt? Once past the cell phone tower the huge corporate/technological world was left behind until the summit of Gunstock. The Ridge Tr is well marked and soft underfoot. I shared it with a porcupine for a while. Brook trail eases you back into the ski area vibe with several crossings of ski trails. Great views, few people. |
