http://www.tinmountain.org/facilities-sanctuaries/tin-mountain-field-station-jackson-nh/ Here you will find a good map of their trails.
At top of road the view of Stairs Mountain are worth the trip, so walk up the road to meet the trails. The Tin Mine Trail takes you right past a mine and a big hole in the ground that are worth visiting. Near a large boulder a view point to Mount Washington has been opened. On the Summit Loop I bushwhacked above a pile of mine tailings hoping to find another big hole but I found nothing. Trails are lightly used and soft on your feet. Nice open ledge near summit and summit is marked by a small cairn. Fun short outing. |
