Comments
Comments: This was a long loop for Heator and Suncook (over 10mi.) as I had trail bagging goals too. Trails are well marked, easy to follow, and mainly mud free with a few brief exceptions.

I started at gunstock parking and took the round pond trail to the east gilford trail; I made a brief turn north to pick up the fire road; from the fire road, I walked to the round pond piper-link junction and bushwhacked to heator; I then bushwhacked to the pond and took round pond piper-link to the white trail and carriage road, having made a detor up suncook, using herd paths and bushwhacks; I walked the carriage road to the blue trail and up to the saddle; I took outlook and round pond trails down.

For the bushwhack to heator, I hiked up through open woods from the junction. I hit a ledgy area with a stone wall. Noting higher ground, I walked to another bump with a cairn, which I believe is the highpoint. I then bushwhacked to the pond.

For Suncook, I walked the round pond piper link to the height of land between round pond and boulder trails. I began to bushwhack, quickly picking up a path marked in pink ribbon. I took this to the highpoint, marked by a sign. The sign is discrete and you may pop out behind it, as there is some blowdown blocking the front. I continued to follow the herd path visiting another bump with a cairn. Taking the trail out, I noted that it is well marked at the start, with a small cairn and tape, a little west of the height of land on that segment of the round pond piper link.
