| Water Crossing Notes: |
Two nicely are Bridged on Stoney Brook. A few minors with one major. On the major, the water level is a little high so cross with care. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails are in good shape. One or two low blow downs is all. Nothing crazy. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Isis had a good time today... There is a decent amount of elevation gain and a lot of rocks to deal with. Make sure your dog can handle these obstacles. There is water available but as always, carry some extra this time of year. |
|
| Bugs: |
Nope... Temps had dropped and they were not around. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
I lost my charge cord for my phone... No biggy but if someone finds it, I hope they pack it out. Think it dropped out when I put my pack cover on. |

I had a nice 15 mile day planned but settled for a trip out to Imp Shelter. I had never been there and I had not been on Stoney Brook since March of 2012. That trail is not what I remembered but we got it done today. Even though the rain cut the trip short, I was still grateful to be out and about on the AT. Trails are in good shape. Stoney Brook has a few water crossings that may be a little high after the rain of today and there are a few low blow downs but nothing that can't be stepped over. Carter Moriah on this end is a mix of ups and downs with some slab sections that have great views. Imp Shelter was a real treat too. |
