Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: from its junction with corser brook road in dixs grant we drove four mile brook road for about 3.8 then turned left on an uphill road mark with a sign stating "dead end 1 mile". we drove it to the end at an old log landing. for the most part the road was in good shape though there are a few dips on some of the hills that would be rough in low clearance vehicles.

Comments
Comments: from where we parked we briefly followed an old skid road before bushwhacking just south of west directly at the summit in generally open, but steep woods. some sections of hobblebush, but otherwise good going. once on the broad summit we continued to the recognized highpoint on a large raised bump. we also noted another bump nearby to the southwest across a marshy area and small pond which we checked out and found to be higher. this point also better matches the spot elevation on the usgs. we did not take the time to move the register as it was getting late, but hopefully someone will at some point. descending we followed roughly the same route finding more good, but steep woods all the way back down to the car.
