| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Welton Falls Trail was VERY brushy, starting at Valley View Rd -no clear footpath up the embankment. From there, quite brushy and lots of deadfall. Unfortunately, not many signs of other hikers!!!! Crossing the power lines - chest-high ferns and occasional prickers - YIKES!!!!!! On the way back I took the road under the power lines to cut off the corner to avoid 2 full crossings of the power lines - path was not at all obvious there. Also, Elwell Trail up to Bear Mountain also had a LOT of deadfall - not a lot of traffic on this trail either, but, very pleasant anyway. Several blowdowns had herd paths. |

| Comments: |
This is probably my favorite route up to Bear Mountain (Hebron)! Really beautiful mossy footbed!!!! Trail needs spring cleaning - if I get a chance, I will come back to assist!!!! Lots of good blazes!!! Terrific views from the outlook on the summit!!!! |
