Trail Maintenance Notes: This trail gets infrequent use. There was one grassy / logging area where we had to pay attention to where the trail was going. A mix of yellow blazes and orange flagging mark the trail.

Comments
Comments: Largely, a super enjoyable hike with reasonable grades and footing. Side path to visit Shingle Pond worth taking.

At about 900', there was a 50 yard grassy area. We came out the other side loaded with ticks... which we spent the rest of the day picking off our bodies and clothing. On the descent, we bushwhacked north around this area, bumped into a logging road that paralleled the trail... and took this logging road down until it rejoined the trail. This avoided the tick band. Otherwise... a very pleasant hike.
