Comments
Comments: The best routes to the summit are those less traveled. We started late and needed to be back home by 6PM which caused us to catch the White Dot trail quickest way up. The trails less traveled are great, not a lot if any other human, as we had on the Hinkely, Harling and Cascade. We passed and were passed by many ill prepared hikers on the White dot. That's 1 small water bottle and a family of 4! Flat street sneakers, flip flops, even those with no water, and it goes on.
The views were fantastic. A young lady with her family hiked up with a 3 x 5 American flag in her pack on a pole to fly for the fourth. Awesome!
We watched one man slide down a rock face on his backside because of his loafers! Yes loafers, no traction but his feet sure looked good. Other instances where we just rolled our eyes.
Great hike all in all.
