I started out on the gated logging road near the height of land on Lost Nation road. However, I quickly chose to redirect and hit the east peak. The woods were open up to the east peak. I explored several bumps, not finding a recognized highpoint and not recognizing one myself. I then made a direct line for the main ridge. Several skid roads crossed my path. Shortly after crossing the power lines, cuts lead me up to the ridge. I soon hit cliffs, which I had to skirt to the north. I then followed a boundary/ herd path along the ridge to the highpoint. The register is gone. There were two strings; one likely from a recent pill bottle and the other quite old. There are some fine views from this ridge. To return, I headed toward the main/south peak col and scrambled down some very steep stuff. |
