| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Reel Brook TH has some decent sized rocks going from the road to the parking lot. The trail head for Gordon Pond Tr is tricky to find. Use the AMC guidebook and use the name of the street on NH112 to locate the starting point. The restaurant mentioned in the AMC guidebook is no more. |

| Comments: |
With a car spot, we started up Gordon Pond Tr, using the AMC guidebook to navigate the beginning part. We crossed under the powerlines twice on Gordon Pond Tr. After the power lines, things got muddier in places, some places being significant and giving me flashbacks of the Adirondacks. After some river crossings and a steady grade up, we eventually reached Gordon Pond. Before Gordon Pond, the main trail crosses the river to the left, so keep an eye out for those blue blazes. We slogged through more mud until reaching the Kinsman Ridge Tr. We then followed that until reaching the summit of Mt Wolf. We found the herd path and followed it to the summit canister hanging from a tree. We then went down Mt Wolf and Reel Brook Tr. At this point, it got hard to gauge the trail since a massive rainstorm hit the area, turning the trail into a river. There were a few stream crossings that were now all swollen. Since our boots and feet were soaked, we just slogged through everything until eventually reaching the trailhead. |
