Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Not much parking at the Trailhead but you're not likely to have much company. I was surprised to be joined by a couple driving a Mercedes as I laced up my boots. I'd come up from Center Sandwich to the south and Sandwich Notch Road had some very rough sections where a low-clearance sedan might scrape. The Mercedes couple had driven down from the other end, in Waterville Valley, and informed me that much of that section had been freshly graded and was in the best shape they'd ever encountered. I went home that way and it was an improvement over the south section.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail in good shape, but there are a couple of blowdowns, easily got over or around. The first scramble is a challenge, especially descending.

Comments
Comments: I'd been to Sandwich Dome a couple of times in recent years so didn't bother with that. Nice views from the ledges below the junction of the Algonquin and Black Mountain Pond Trails.
