| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Great parking even though it's shared with the lodge. Everyone was respectful. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
The 2 bridges were perfect! The smaller water crossing at the beginning was an easy big step over. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Maintenance was OK. Many parts were very used. Lots of rocks to step over, around and on. Thought it was odd to see 2 pallets on a muddy spot...very unstable. Easier to walk around. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Did not see any. |
| Bugs: |
Few and far in between! |
| Lost and Found: |
Human dropping trail of Bubble Gum wrappers...hope it wasn't to find the way back...I picked them all up! |

| Comments: |
I was surprised to see no one on trail after passing 2 very nice woman at the start. Then I hit the AT heading N/S met several AT'rs. All very nice and in great spirits. As I headed up past the cairns I came to a top full of people! I felt I just hike Monadnock and needed to reserve a spot to sit...it turns out a wedding was on...perfect day for it!
Great hike...beautiful views in all directions. |
