52 WAV...great family outing....3 hours car to car. Nice climb, neat cabin, beautiful hike between peaks. Don't miss the spur trail to S. Doublehead summit marked by large cairns. Be CAREFUL descending the New Path. It's slippery with loose rock and steep! It's a very slow 4/10 or so..
Passed a young family of 5 descending from the cabin- they enjoyed their stay. Why do the parents carry all the gear? |
