| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
From Troy I drove up High Street to newly paved Richmond Road and parked on edge of road near gated woods road east of the ATV/4 wheeler Road. Since new pavement and big ditches parking is limited. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
ATV road is nicely graded crush gravel and I could have easily driven my car to the ATV trail intersection near height of the land where there is plenty of room to park and turn around. |

Unnamed peak, high point of Richmond, NH
Town highpoint of Richmond is west of the Troy/Richmond town line, elevation 1,624'. I entered the woods west from the road right before the road started to head downhill. I stayed on the ridge avoiding logged areas to the north and didn't get to the south where the contour lines are close. Town line boundary is well marked with blue blazes, piles of rocks that once help hold up fence posts and the barb wire is still on the ground. I followed the ridge up the middle of the highest contour and went up and down, walking full length and width. If I remember right the second bump after crossing the town line I think is the highest, bump at the end of the contour didn't feel as high---so highpoint is about the middle (an ATV path runs around on top of it and it is a bit rocky). This was a quick one so for fun I followed the blue blazes until I came to a corner boundary marker and then cut back to the road. Beat the rain but I didn't beat the heat. |
