Comments
Comments: Excellent non-peak-oriented route today, to visit Thoreau Falls, Shoal Pond, and Ethan Pond. Saw a few people headed to Arethusa Falls, some at Thoreau Falls, and a couple of through-hikers on Ethan Pond Trail -- otherwise, we had the 12-plus-mile route pretty much to ourselves today.

Shoal Pond is a gem -- serene, beautiful scenery. And no bugs...but plenty of decent-sized blueberries nearby. Would be a nice winter/snowshoe destination, too.
