Comments: Second night in the Great Gulf, I moved my camp to the Clam Rock tenting site.

Early morning, I hiked up Great Gulf Trail to Chandler Brook Trail. At 0.9 mile, short... but steep. And as described in the White Mt. Guide, a lovely trail, with a seemingly endless string of cascades and water falls. At each view ledge there was another new water feature and another view of Mt. Adams in the background. There were two water crossings, both rock hoppable.

Once on the auto road, I descended 2.25 miles to the Madison Gulf Trail (AT), which took me back to the Great Gulf Tr.

I packed up camp, and on the way out, closed out the Osgood Cutoff Trail.

There were more folks out there than I had anticipated. Water was super plentiful, which meant I could travel light and filter as I needed it.

Two and a half days in Great Gulf.... just a great time.
