Comments
Comments: once across the brook we followed the wet, swampy, overgrown road to a junction where we turned left. this appeared to be a snowmobile corridor that was often overgrown but drier than the first road. after it wound around to the south of the north peak of west deer we bushwhacked up just past a large cut to pick up another road that runs up between the mountains main and north peaks on the west side of the drainage. this road was very grassy and grown in with numerous drainage dips, but was great for gaining elevation. around 2300 we started our bushwhack towards the summit finding good woods most of the way. lots of the expected low growth and hobblebush. we missed the recognized highpoint initially, but after visiting a few other bumps finally stumbled onto it. we descended mostly on the same route.
