Comments
Comments: The first mile, most of the way to the Cabot Connector was grassy logging road. No ticks... (phew), but early in the morning the grass was loaded with dew and I got pretty soaked from the knees down. I had been to Cabot before, and there is a really nice view south from a ledge a few yards from the summit.

The Scudder Trail north of Cabot is lovely, meandering through a combination of beautiful woods and ledgey views. Mt. Ingalls is a viewless summit... the views are along the way from the ledges. A tenth of so north of the summit is where the trail ends, at a small pond. With the drought this summer, the pond was kind of scummy... with a thin layer of green algae that swirled like the inside of a book with "marbleized" ink. Kind of lovely in a way. Lots of large dragonflies, too.

We met Bob & Gerry on the way out, along with their Dog, Dusty. Cool!

Nice hike.
