Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: We were not sure if we might have missed the Gadwah Notch trail after passing the gate (talking and not paying attention, we soon realized we had no blazes....) Not realizing it stayed on the tote road, we took a gamble and kept walking and finally saw a blaze on a rock underfoot! Phew!

Comments
Comments: Great to get back out on the Cohos! Wild and beautiful trail. We stayed at the Hermit shelter with one other hiker and expected to be at Baldhead shelter for lunch-time......guessing it was 7-8 miles away? It took us forevvvvvver to get there!! Like 6 hours! Phew! Do not underestimate the time vs mileage in this section. Saw a moose and some spruce grouse
