Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The logging area near sugar hill trail is well blazed at first, then look for the orange flagging....stay on the same "line" and that'll get you to the other blazes further out (basically follow the skidder path..that's the trail) Then you will have to climb over a pile of downed brush/trees at one point, but there are blazes.

Comments
Comments: Another beautiful section of the Cohos trail. Again, we were surprised that the Sanguinary summit trail to Panorama shelter was 2.2 miles and it took us 2 HOURS to get there?! (we are not that slow) Do not underestimate mileage vs time. There was a nuisance whiteface bee hanging around panorama shelter (for those allergic). Saw a moose in the sugar hill trail logging area :) Never saw the side trail to Mud Pond...
Didn't see any other hikers this day. Beautiful long weekend and we saw 1 hiker, 3 moose, 2 hawks, 1 osprey, a few spruce grouse, 1 rabbit (and 2 bears on the drive home)
