Access is on a private driveway before tuning right onto a back country ski trai, that is steep, climbing steadily, startled a family of turkeys. First time we saw baby turkeys. Another escape from the Labor day hordes. Black Mtn cabin is available for rent for $20/night! After the cabin we went counter clockwise to the summit and back to the cabin. Not much of a view from the summit (separate trail). Better view of the "Rockpile" from the cabin. |
