Picked up car #2 at Rocky Branch TH from day before and spotted at Wildcat Ski area for finish. Car #1 at 19 MBT which is a USFS fee lot. |

Found illegal fire ring right next to trail. Broke up and dispersed rocks and half burned logs/branches. (Dang pyros!) |

Beat the afternoon storms! From Polecat, watched rain fall on northern Presies and got to see a spectacular rainbow over Great Gulf. :) Met only 4 hikers this day. |
