Trail Maintenance Notes: Good shape overall, although there is some "bathtubbing" going on on the lower part of the Mt. Major Trail, similar to the situation on the Kinsman Ridge Trail (although far less severe).
Dog-Related Notes

Comments
Comments: Did a dark, cloudy, and wet after work hike up Mt. Major today. The trails were in good shape besides the usual erosion issues (see Trail Maintenance Notes). Despite the low clouds, I did get some views from the top. Even more shocking was how quiet Major was- I only saw two people the whole hike! Had the summit and the whole hike down all to myself! I have NEVER seen Mt. Major this quiet. Really cool but a bit freaky too. Up in 30:51, down in 27:36.
