Comments
Comments: After Jack and I whacked to Blue-West we drove back down Meridan Hill Road and parked by the logging road gate. We walked up the old grassy logging road and turned right up another old logging road. We followed this road after it turned away from the mountain as the road still climbed. We left this road shortly before the next drainage and followed a grown in skidder road up towards the col between Lightning and Teapot. We stayed in the nice woods along the edge of the skidder roads to avoid the prickers. We hit a really nice old road that we made good time hiking up and jumped off it as it turned more sharply away from the col. Jack found an oil can and we hung it in a tree. Hardwood glades were lovely. From the col to Teapot's summit was a fun maze of moose herd paths, we managed to stay out of thick stuff all the way up and down! Teapot handle is still wired to the tree but sadly the pot is resting on the ground between the canister tree and the tree just to the left. I wish I had brought along some super glue. Great hikes, thanks Jack for visiting these peaks again, my mother thanks you.
