| Water Crossing Notes: |
No issues with water crossings. As has been previously reported, the bridge over Peabody Brook near the beginning of the Peabody Brook Trail was removed by the logging company that installed it. There are plans to soon install a new footbridge by an AMC crew with assistance by the Shelburne Trails Club. In the meantime, stepping stones are being used to cross the brook, which presents no issues during these times of low water. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The wooden ladder on the Peabody Brook Trail has two rungs missing, and the ladder overall has a lot of rot. So, use it at your own risk, or try climbing up alongside of the ladder. This ladder is located a few tenths of a mile above the spur trail to Giant Falls. (Those with Facebook access can view a photo of the damaged ladder at the link shown at end of this report.)
The trail is overall in good shape, but it should be noted that between the ladder and the junction of the Bald Cap Peak Ledges Trail, there are some segments of trail that could use some brushing. In a few spots, it's almost like a mini-bushwhack!
