Bugs
Bugs: saw some at Megalithia, amazing considering the wind

Lost and Found: lost my Costa sunglasses on my bushwhack out of Megalithia. I doubt anyone will ever find them considering my way out;-/ Note to self, when on a whack, place expensive sunglasses in a safe place - doh!

Comments
Comments: My first trip to this mountain. White Dot's middle third is quite ledgy and steep in places, otherwise a nice hike with spectacular views. I would go down another trail. Very windy up top, needed a fleece hat and gloves. Small patches of snow in the shaded spots. Saw many going up underdressed. My plan was to take Pumpelly Trail over to Cascade Link then down with the idea of dropping in somewhere to find Pumpelly Cave. I was successful - once in the woods I found a herd path that lead me right to it. What a great place for a secret fort! What a great place for youths to raise a little hell the old fashioned way:) I cannot imagine being led to this place with blindfolds on as lore suggests. The register is full and needs replacing, so I started back at the front and signed the first page. It's also quite damp and likely won't last the winter. (I left the tequila minis and beer untouched).

Wet leaves are the greatest hazard on these trails.
