Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: from rt 110 in stark i drove paris road for roughly 6.5 miles turning left over a bridge across phillips brook parking just uphill from the bridge at a 4 way junction where the road to the left is blocked by boulders and the road i started the hike on continues straight ahead uphill. paris road was in great shape where it turns to dirt.

Comments
Comments: i hiked up the grassy road to a landing. this road is likely much more pleasant this time of year than in the growing season. some animal herd paths helped in more overgrown sections. at a log landing, with a great view to the peak, i hit the woods on a direct line. young open hardwoods to start. the going got steeper and where the woods transitioned over to conifers i hit cliffs, not surprising based on map contours and slabbed around to the northeast to get around them. plentiful wets leaves made footing slick. the cliffs were fairly persistent, but i did eventually get around the worst of them and headed up steeply, with one scramble, to the summit area where a dusting of snow coated the ground. a walked for a bit along the flattish summit through nice conifer woods hitting one false bump before reaching the recognized highpoint. descending i dropped down again northwest, but went a bit further before tunring back towards the log landing which put me in generally better woods than what i slabbed through coming up.
